The Happy Birthday automation sends an email to your subscribers every time a contact a contact birthday you choose occurs.

You can design a Happy Birthday email template offering a particular discount or special promotion of products and services on the contact Birthday making them to feel appreciated and be more engaged on your campaigns.

To be able to send a happy birthday Automation Campaign you insert the campaign name normally as in a regular campaign.

Then you must have a custom field on the contact details that contains your contact birthday. When setting up a Happy Birthday automation you will be required to specify the date field of the contact.

Note: you may have more than one date field for example you may have a date added field and a Birthday field in this case you must pay attention and specify the right Date field corresponding to the Birthday.

You insert the recipients, the from address, and the Email template design as you would do in a regular campaign then get to the Timing section.

See How To Set Up Campaign Recipients for the recipients section.

On the timing section of the Happy Birthday Automation Campaign you have to specify first if the email will be sent before the birthday, same day as the birthday or after the birthday then select the week days checkbox to specify in which days this automation will be running.

On the selected day you have the possibility to either select a specified time lapse when the emails will be sent or you can specify the time lapse to be a full 24 hours.

By selecting the full day timeline the email is sent immediately after the criteria of the birthdate is met, if you select a specified time then the email will be sent only at that particular time (see picture above).

Then setup your desired time zone and as in regular campaigns you can turn on google analytics if you want to.
